Process

Before producing an illustration, I like to explore most of my ideas in pencil. After settling with an idea, I refine it by adding or correcting details. From there I produce color comps to become familiar with the colors I will need to use in the final and to serve as a map for me. In this stage, I can also preview other possible directions for my illustration. Finally, I begin to color my final illustration until its completion using my preferred mediums: acrylic gouache, gouache, color pencils and sometimes Adobe Photoshop.
